Ole Miss releases first availability report for LSU week

After a week out of non-conference play No. 13 Ole Miss is back to its Southeastern Conference slate with No. 4 LSU on Saturday and that also means the return of availability reports.
There might not be much to debate on the quarterback front as Austin Simmons is not listed on the report. Backup Trinidad Chambliss, who has become the starter the last two weeks, is reportedly the starter for a third week when he will face the LSU defense.
“Both guys did great today, Lane Kiffin said during Wednesday’s SEC Teleconference. Really letting them compete it out. …I always take everything into consideration. So we’ll see as we get closer.

One player that has yet to make his Ole Miss debut this season is cornerback Jaylon Braxton. The Arkansas transfer did not play in the first four games of the season. He was trending towards taking the field against Kentucky but a “medical situation,” according to Kiffin, kept him from doing so. He then did not suit up against Arkansas or Tulane.
Braxton is listed as ‘Questionable’ on this week’s first availability report. There will be reports released on Thursday and Friday plus a final one released at 1 p.m. CT on Saturday just ahead of kickoff.
