Ole Miss vs. Arkansas: How to watch rematch in SEC Tournament quarterfinal, TV Channel

Ole Miss is still alive in the Southeastern Conference Tournament and one step closer to bringing a Regional back to Oxford for the first time in four years.
The first step was beating Florida, 3-1, as the clock struck midnight Thursday in the second round to eliminate the Gators and remove them from the congested group of SEC teams still contending for a host bid.
Next up is another rematch from the regular season when the Rebels (38-18) play No. 2 Arkansas on Friday in the quarterfinal round. A victory over the Razorbacks in the back pocket would assuredly secure an Oxford Regional.
Depending on who is asked Ole Miss might have done enough already, but continuing to win this week in Hoover, Alabama will only help take the guessing out of the equation.
The Razorbacks will be taking the field inside Hoover Metropolitan Stadium for the first time this week after earning a double bye in the new 16-team format.
Head coach Dave Van Horn revealed on Thursday when talking to media that he will be sending out Arkansas ace Zach Root to get the start against Ole Miss. The Rebels are expected to send Riley Maddox to the mound.
Root (6-4, 4.16 earned run average) had his worst start of SEC play against Ole Miss back in March, which was the first game of both teams SEC schedule. He allowed seven runs, all earned, off 10 hits in three innings of his first career SEC start in what was a 10-6 win for the Rebels.
“(Root) knows that he didn’t have his best stuff and didn’t have his command,” Van Horn said. “First SEC game. Been pretty good after that, though. I would think with him personally, this would be a big start for him.”
Maddox allowed three runs, all earned, off four hits while striking out three and walking a pair in four innings of work during his last outing against Arkansas.

OLE MISS IN THE SEC TOURNAMENT
The Rebels were picked to finish 15th in the 16-team SEC but are the No. 7 seed in the league tournament after finishing the regular season with a 16-14 SEC record.
Not since 2021 has Ole Miss finished with a winning SEC record.
Ole Miss was the tournament’s inaugural champion in 1977. The Rebels have won the tournament six times, most recently in 2018. The Rebels defeated LSU, 9-1, in the championship game.
