No. 5 Ole Miss gets back to Southeastern Conference play with a two-game road trip, starting on Saturday at No. 9 Georgia.

For the Rebels it is the chance to do something the program has not done in nearly 30 years and that is beat the Bulldogs in back-to-back seasons. The last time was 1995 and 1996.

The perfect start to the season has provided Ole Miss the opportunity to have some leeway with their games in Athens and next week at No. 14 Oklahoma as it pertains to its College Football Playoff résumé. This is due to beating LSU to close out September, but the Rebels want to win them all.

“We’ve done some good things here as a program. But there’s another step,” Lane Kiffin said on Wednesday. “Can you go beat an elite program like we were able to do last year in Georgia but now do it at their place? It’s a great opportunity to have. We’re going to have to stay really focused.”

The Rebels are currently a 7.5-point road underdog to Georgia on BetMGM.
