This Saturday features a pair of key Southeastern Conference matchups including No. 13 Ole Miss hosting No. 4 LSU.

After the Rebels (4-0, 2-0 SEC) and Tigers knocked off their respective non-conference opponents this past weekend the Las Vegas oddsmakers went to work. The opening line favored the Rebels.

On Monday that was still the case, but the line has increased a point and making Ole Miss a 2.5-point favorite now on BetMGM.

Over the Summer Ole Miss was an early favorite by 1.5-points on BetMGM, but since the two teams have gone back and forth in the first month of the season, landing where it currently is.

“Now they’ve got a really big challenge ahead with LSU and preparing for that (Sunday),” Lane Kiffin said on Sunday. “It’s always a big challenge. LSU is always a premier program in college football of elite players, elite roster. I always said you’re always going to play really good teams and really good players at LSU. Last three head coaches there have won national championships. When can a program ever say that? Got the highest-paid staff in football now. So, it’s really challenging, and we’re going to have to have a great week of preparation to play with these guys.”

Since 2021 the home team has won the last four meetings. The Tigers escaped Death Valley with a 29-26 win in overtime, a loss that hurt the College Football Playoff chances for Ole Miss, at the time.

The Rebels and Tigers kick off at 2:30 p.m. CT on Saturday. The game is scheduled to air on ABC.
