Tulane knowing they need points, and only being successful on the ground, makes it easy for the Rebels defense to know exactly what to expect. They stuff the run on back-to-back plays and Green Wave have another turnover on downs.

First Half Stats:

HALFTIME: No. 13 OLE MISS 23, TULANE 3
Could not have asked for a better half than this one if you’re Ole Miss. Sure they would trade the three field goals for touchdowns but defense has been really strong against this Tulane rushing attack. Retzlaff is 0-for-9 through the air, with a couple being drops by his receivers.

We have a Cayden Lee sighting. After Harrison Wallace III drops what could have been a potential touchdown to start the drive Chambliss goes back to the well, again, but this time finds Lee for 47 yards. He made a nice spin move to adjust and make the catch, too.

Rebels waste no time to respond, going 72 yards in six plays and less than two-and-a-half minutes. Lacy with the one-yard rushing touchdown. So far the Ole Miss offense is looking superior to Tulane’s.
Chambliss with a coachable moment against Tulane that might have been an interception against LSU. Needed a little more air on a throw to Stribling, but its tipped, or missed, by the Green Wave defender and Stribling catches it for 53 yards.

The Ole Miss defense had Retzlaff dead to wrights but two guys whiff on the sack attempt and he takes off for 30 yards. Tulane’s biggest play of the day by far.
Ole Miss 13, Tulane 0 12:48 2nd Qtr
A second-straight drive stalls out for Ole Miss, but this one at the Tulane 36 but Carniero drains the 53-yard field goal attempt.

Not a lot of those today as it looks like Ole Miss is choosing to warm up inside the Manning Center, which is allowable for non-conference games.

No. 13 Ole Miss continues its four-game homestand with a trip outside the Southeastern Conference, hosting Tulane on Saturday in a pivotal early-season game that could have College Football Playoff implications in a couple months.
The September gauntlet continues for the Rebels (3-0) with the Green Wave (3-0) the next team up in has recently been a tough game for both teams. Ole Miss currently holds a 12-game winning streak, dating back to 1989.
It will be Trinidad Chambliss getting his second-consecutive start in place of injured Austin Simmons. The redshirt sophomore is still recovering from an ankle injury, which he re-aggravated last week in the win over Arkansas.
Jake Retzlaff and the Tulane offense will be another dual-threat for the Rebels defense, which should be well prepared after facing Taylen Green and the Razorbacks a week ago.
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. Keep this page open for live updates, scores and highlights once the game gets underway.
