Ole Miss women's basketball dominates at Arkansas

Whatever took place against Kentucky on Monday carried over to Thursday in Fayetteville for the Ole Miss women’s basketball team.
While the Rebels needed a strong fourth quarter to knock off the No. 8 Wildcats it was a different story against the Razorbacks, beating them by 39 points in a 89-50 victory.
There was not a lot that went wrong for Ole Miss (17-7, 8-4 Southeastern Conference) as it picked up its second straight win and second of what is a three-game week.
Four players scored in double figures with Tameiya Sadler scoring a team-high 17 points followed by 15 points from KK Deans. Kennedy Todd-Williams and Madison Scott finished with 10 points each.
“Just taking open shots. Shots that I knew I could make,” Sadler said. “Credit to my teammates for being able to set me up on different shots like catch-and-shoot threes. Once I saw a couple go down I just gained more confidence.”
The Rebels shot just under 48 percent from three-point range (10-21) and 49 percent from the floor (37-75) with the help of 22 assists.

Defensively, Ole Miss caused 10 Arkansas turnovers and scored 17 points off of them
Ole Miss head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin emptied the bench in the second half after the Rebels took a 25-point lead into halftime and only expanded in the second half.
There were 14 players that took the floor which spread out the minutes for the starters with a third game of the week coming up on Sunday.
“Rest is essential for us right now just because this is a three-game week,” McCuin said. “We’re getting ready to play a team that’s going to push us from a pace standpoint on Sunday. A lot of people like to limit, kind of shorten their rotations around this time and I just kind of a different perspective. I want to play as many people as I can.
The Rebels wrap up the busy week in Knoxville where they will play No. 15 Tennessee at 11 a.m. CT on SEC Network.
