Ole Miss women's basketball to host Notre Dame in 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge

The first official non-conference opponent for Ole Miss women’s basketball’s 2025-26 schedule is known and it is an important one.
On Thursday the match ups for the 2025 ACC/SEC Challenge were announced for both the men’s and women’s programs. The Rebels will host Notre Dame in key non-conference contest, taking place inside the SJB Pavilion on December 4.
This will be the second-ever meeting between the two programs. The first saw Notre Dame come away with a win over Ole Miss in the second round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament in South Bend, Indiana.
Both teams are coming off Sweet 16 appearances in last year’s NCAA Tournament. The Rebels lost to UCLA while TCU eliminated the Fighting Irish. Both also finished in the final Associated Press Top 25 with Notre Dame at No. 10 and Ole Miss at No. 17.

Notre Dame went 28-6 overall for the 2024-25 season and 16-2 in the ACC, finishing second in the conference.
Thursday’s announcement included confirmation of the report that the Ole Miss men’s team will host Miami in the ACC/SEC Challenge. The game will take place at the Pavilion on December 2. Tip off times for both games will be announced at a later date.
The Ole Miss women’s program is entering the eighth year under head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin. She has three players returning including rising sophomore Sira Thienou plus Christeen Iwuala. There are nine new players on the upcoming season’s roster which helped McCuin get the No. 2 transfer class this past offseason, according to ESPN.
Two-time All-American Cotie McMahon highlights the class, transferring from Ohio State.
