Ole Miss kept its perfect September going with a 41-35 win over Arkansas to notch its first Southeastern Conference home game victory of the young season.

The Rebels are now 2-0 in SEC play through the first three weeks of the season and are starting to get the votes in the polls to reflect sitting atop the conference standings.

In this week’s newest Top 25 rankings released on Sunday Ole Miss moved up four spots to No. 13 in the Associated Press poll and up two spots to No. 11 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.

Ole Miss is one of eight SEC teams inside the AP poll’s Top 15 and among 11 SEC teams in the Top 25. South Carolina fell out of the AP poll after its 31-7 loss to Vanderbilt, which entered the poll at No. 20 for the first time this season.

Despite starting the season 0-2 Notre Dame stayed in at No. 24.

Ole Miss hosts Tulane (3-0) next Sunday at 2:30 p.m. CT on ESPN. The Green Wave received votes in this week’s polls after its 34-27 win over Duke on Saturday. ESPN’s FPI matchup predictor gives Ole Miss a 86.8 percent chance to win the game.
