Ole Miss was off this week and it was a rather underwhelming Week 13 with no upsets and the Top 10 teams that played took care of business.

Heading into the final week of the regular season the Rebels (10-1) remain where they were in last week’s Associated Press and Coaches polls. They are No. 6 in the AP Top 25 and No. 6 in the Coaches rankings. Oregon jumped Ole Miss to No. 5 in the AP Poll after its win over Southern California on Saturday.

Friday welcomes the Egg Bowl and what will serve as the climax of what is sure to be another wild week of unknowns and uncertainty around Lane Kiffin’s future in Oxford. Next Saturday is supposed to provide that clarity, according to athletics director Keith Carter, barring a change and something coming out this week.

Kiffin is set to address the local media beat on Monday for his usual game week press conference.

These are just the guidelines for the important rankings yet to be released. Tuesday will bring the fourth version of this season’s College Football Playoffs Top 25 rankings and latest CFP bracket projection. ESPN will air the rankings at 6 p.m. CT.

Ole Miss and Mississippi State will kickoff at 11 a.m. CT on ABC as part of a Black Friday tripleheader.
