WATCH: Judd Utermark hits 3-run home run to close deficit for Ole Miss

Ole Miss slugger Judd Utermark helped the Rebels close a 4-0 deficit to a 4-3 deficit with one swing on Friday against Murray State. Check out the bomb from Utermark below as he answered back for the host team.
Ole Miss is the No. 10 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament and hosting for the first time since 2021. Utermark was excited going into the game, eyeing a National Championship run.
“That’s always one of our goals — to host a Regional, host a Super Regional and obviously Omaha,” Ole Miss slugger Judd Utermark told the Ole Miss Spirit this week. “In my two years here we haven’t been able to do that. So, being able to fulfill this goal of ours has been a pick-me-up in the locker room, for sure. I really like our chances going into this weekend.”
Entering the first game of the Oxford regional, Utermark was hitting .400 (14 for 35) and slugging .629 with 12 RBI and nine runs scored over his last eight games.

Ole Miss last week played in the SEC Tournament final for the first time since 2019. Rebel pitchers posted a collective 1.29 ERA in Hoover and allowed all of five earned runs in 35 innings. They struck out 35 and issued only nine walks, holding opponents to a .151 batting average.
While it was a rough start for the Rebels on the mound Friday, Utermark managed to make a statement with his homerun.
Ole Miss is now two home runs shy of tying, and three home runs from breaking, the program’s single-season record (108) set in 2022.
