WATCH: Ole Miss commit Jameson Powell returns punt for TD
Folsom (Calif.) wide receiver Jameson Powell committed to Ole Miss back in January and has remained locked in with the Rebels. On Saturday, he ran a punt back for a touchdown from his own goalline.
The score gave his Folsom team a 7-0 lead on Grant Union (Calif.) as they raced to a 51-13 win. Check out the play below from the future Rebel.
According to Rivals, Powell ranks as the No. 97 overall wide receiver in the nation and No. 50 prospect in California.
Schools continued to reach out to Powell, but he shut his recruitment down, reaffirming his pledge to Ole Miss this summer. Arizona and Washington were two that pushed the hardest, but after taking some time to think about it, Powell is no longer considering any other options.
