Which Ole Miss MLB Draft picks have, and have not, signed with deadline looming

The 2025 MLB Draft wrapped up 10 days ago and Ole Miss saw nine players get their name called over the two-day, 20-round event.
With the highest number of Rebels taken in one MLB Draft in 11 years it will create a new look on the roster in 2026 with a majority of them having already signed but a few have not.
All 600-plus draft picks have until 4 p.m. CT on July 28 to sign with the club that selected them. Players who have exhausted their collegiate eligibility have until one week before the 2026 MLB Draft to sign while those with college eligibility remaining could return if they so choose.
On Thursday the will he or won’t he saga of high school standout shortstop and signee Coy James concluded after he agreed with the Washington Nationals and signed for $2.5 million, according to MLB.com’s Jim Callis. James was the 142nd overall pick and ended up signing for $2 million more than his slot value ($508,900) and ties the MLB Draft record for highest bonus ever after the fourth round.
Transfer pitcher Grant Richardson from Grand Canyon signed with the Athletics as a sixth round pick and getting a $400K bonus. He was the only transfer to get drafted and sign, creating a loss for the Rebels pitching staff for next season.

There are some key Ole Miss players who have not signed as of the publishing of this article but assistant coach Mike Clement told Rebel Grove earlier this week the feeling is all drafted players that could return are expected to sign.
“We anticipate all of those guys signing,” Clement said. “From Mason Morris, who I think is already signed, all the way through to Sam Tookoian. Our anticipation is all of them either have signed or will sign, and I don’t think we’ll get any of those guys back.
“If you get drafted inside the Top 10 rounds, you’re going to sign. Typically there’s a deal in place before they call your name. The real intrigue comes, for us, between the 11th and 20th round, like with Spencer and [Hunter] Elliott a year ago. Those aren’t as sure of a thing. But in a 20-round draft anymore, they’re drafting those guys to try to sign them.”
Below is the list of Ole Miss players drafted and their signing status as of July 24:
- Mason Morris (83rd pick by Cincinnati Reds) – Signed / $897,000 bonus
- Luke Hill (132nd pick by Cleveland Guardians) – Signed / NA bonus
- Coy James (142nd pick by Washington Nationals) – Signed / $2,000,000 bonus
