A game that felt like was going to be a blowout quickly turned into a crunchtime back-and-forth game between the Oregon Ducks and the Washington Huskies Thursday at Matthew Knight Arena. Ultimately, the Ducks hung on for an 85-80 win. Despite "playing with its food” in the first half, Oregon extended their halftime lead over Washington to 20 points. That lead evaporated seemingly in the blink of an eye midway through the second half, as the Huskies surged their way back into the game. On a night where Washington struggled to shoot the ball from the perimeter, you could make the argument that the Ducks were lucky to come away with this victory. Regardless of how pretty it was, though, Oregon will take the win as it trends back in the right direction of the Pac-12 standings. Here are my takeaways from tonight's victory.
