Oregon QB Target Dylan Raiola No. 1 in 2024

While there is plenty of buzz about the 2023 recruiting cycle for quarterbacks, Oregon fans should have one eye ahead to 2024. Because that’s just how recruiting works these days.
On Monday morning On3 released its initial On300 rankings for the 2024 cycle. And at the top is one noticeable name.
Chandler (Ariz.) quarterback Dylan Raiola leads the On3 rankings for 2024. Not just at quarterback, he’s the No. 1 ranked player in the country.
Dylan Raiola Scouting Summary
“Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school underclassman. Looks like the top quarterback prospect and overall arm talent in the 2024 cycle early on. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Has a natural, loose throwing motion with unique arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Already has a deep catalog of throws as a rising junior in high school. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a sophomore. Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a sophomore, not running for many yards. Turned in one of the more productive sophomore seasons among top 2024 quarterbacks. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher.” — Charles Power, On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings
Oregon hosted the newly minted 5-Star two weekends ago among a big recruiting weekend. Oregon’s offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham has strong ties to the Raiola family and the Chandler program.

Raiola gave his Oregon visit high marks to On3’s Chad Simmons following his time in Eugene.
“We always looked at Oregon as an elite program, but seeing it from the inside was different. Coach Lanning was impressive. The staff he put together is elite and their vision of winning a National Championship is pretty clear.
“It really is the total package: academics, staff, and the football program’s goals. We’re looking forward to getting back up there.”
