Dan Lanning and his staff have put in the work on defensive line recruiting and this week it’s paying off.

Earlier in the week Oregon landed a commitment from Cy Creek (Texas) defensive end Terrance Green. Two days later Peoria (Ariz.) defensive lineman My’Keil Gardner committed to Oregon.

The 6-foot-2, 275-pounder committed to Oregon on Wednesday. Gardner picked the Ducks over Michigan, Cal, Texas, USC and others.

Gardner is a big piece to the recruiting puzzle for the Ducks. With defensive line body types on the West coast at a premium, Gardner is one of the more polished at his position.

Gardner is the No. 523 ranked player in the On3 Consensus rankings. He is the No. 10 player in the state of Arizona. He is also the second Arizona commit for the Ducks joining DB Cole Martin.

He is now the 13th commitment in the 2023 class for Oregon.

The Ducks currently have the No. 14 ranked class nationally and the No. 2 class in the Pac-12 conference.
