ScoopDuck Roundtable: Opposing Player to Watch vs Colorado

Deion Sanders will be riding his hype train to Eugene this weekend. His first taste of conference play. His first taste of Autzen stadium.
While Sanders has exceeded most expectations, including my own, Oregon will be ready. The Buffs do have some playmakers however and these are the names Oregon will need to key on.
Jarrid Denney: WR Xavier Weaver
Even with Travis Hunter out for Saturday’s game, Shedeur Sanders will still have a few very good receivers to lean on against Oregon.
Xavier Weaver and Jimmy Horn Jr. are both explosive playmakers who had big games against Colorado State in Week 3. I’ll go with Weaver here after he hauled in nine catches for 98 yards and a touchdown. A week earlier, he caught 10 passes for 170 yards against Nebraska.
The former South Florida standout will be one to watch on Saturday.
Joel Gunderson: Shedeur Sanders
With Travis Hunter out this week, this pick becomes even more of a no-brainer. The entire Buffaloes operation starts and stops with Sanders; as we saw this past Saturday, he’s capable of brilliance, evidenced by his 98-yard drive to tie the game in the 4th quarter.

But Sanders has his limitations, which are a woeful offensive line; through three games, opponents have sacked Colorado’s quarterback 16 times.
Oregon’s defense looked as fast and violent this past week as they have in a long time; considering the build-up and the Buffaloes’ offensive line, I expect them to feast again.
They have to — if not, Sanders has the potential to pull the upset by himself.
Doug Scott: Michael Harrison
Everyone is going to say Shedeur Sanders, which is the correct answer, but I’ll throw out another one here for this game: tight end Michael Harrison. He only had 4 total receptions in the first 2 weeks, but got a huge snap increase once Travis Hunter left the game. Harrison made good on that by hauling in 7 catches for 76 yards and 2 TDs, and also caught the conversion in the second overtime. One to watch on Saturday as Colorado will try to keep their passing game humming with Hunter still sidelined.
Jhop: Shedeur Sanders
Look this was the obvious pick so I’m not going to get cute. He’s the only guy, now, on that team that can beat Oregon on his own. Now I’m not saying he will. But he could single-handedly keep the Buffs in the game. Oregon has to contain him, limit him from carving up the defense. My second pick would be Dylan Edwards simply because I think minus Travis Hunter they’ll lean on the run game more and he has explosive speed.
