The Penn State football team received good news late last week. The long-standing issue of when to hold the annual White Out Game is over. Television partners announced that the game will be on in primetime on Sept. 27, giving the Nittany Lions their biggest atmosphere against the best opponent on the home schedule. We’ll discuss that, another honor for Saquon Barkley, plus recruiting and team discussion throughout the show!

Join the BWI Live show at 10 a.m. on YouTube today as we discuss if the defensive secondary will be better or worse than last season. Reporters Sean Fitz and Nate Bauer join the show for a 60-minute conversation with you! Join the live chat to ask questions and interact with the show. We’ll take questions throughout the program and open up the floor for you during the BWI Mailbag to end the show.

Penn State News

Penn State will host Oregon on NBC this fall in primetime. Not only does the team get to host the reigning Big Ten Champions at night, they also get to open the season at home. We discuss how significant a win, either in perception or reality, this decision is for the program.

Next up, we’ll discuss the news that Barkley is the latest cover athlete for the Madden video game franchise. Is this a boost for Penn State recruiting? Or just another fun achievement for Nittany Lions fans to celebrate?

Fitz’s Recruiting Udpate

The next phase of Penn State recruiting began in earnest over the weekend. The team hosted its 2025 signing class on Friday and Saturday, followed by its first camp of the summer to evaluate prospects for the coming cycles.

However, most of the focus this weekend was on one 2026 athlete trying to prove he belonged in the current class. Detroit offensive lineman Ben Eziuka camped with the program to prove that he’d improved from last offseason. How did that go? We tracked his progress and performance throughout the afternoon, and Fitz will discuss what he thinks on today’s recruiting update.

We will also highlight the rest of the offensive line, thanks to our tracking of the group through the afternoon. Finally, we’ll preview the upcoming official visit weekend, which is stocked with elite talent. Is this Penn State’s most important recruiting weekend of the official visit calendar? Fitz will weigh in.

Better or Worse and the BWI Mailbag

Finally, we’ll end the show by discussing the Penn State football team for 2025. Is the team better or worse in the defensive backfield? We’ll finish our look at the team’s roster heading into the fall by assessing the linebackers, cornerbacks, and safeties.

The last few minutes of the show, as always, are dedicated to you! We’ll be answering questions in the BWI Mailbag live to end the show, so join us at 10 to get your questions answered live!
