Penn State coaching search update: More teams enter the mix for candidates

Penn State isn’t the only program that has fired its head coach this cycle. They will compete with other schools that have moved on from coaches this year for the next great candidate. So, where does Penn State stand in the list of openings that are currently on the market? We’ll give you the latest opinions from national media, plus we’ll discuss which programs could leapfrog Penn State for the top candidates this year.

Of course, we’ll give a preview of the information our reporters are gathering on the latest coaching hot board this week. To get full access to that information, join Blue White Illustrated right now for just one dollar. You’ll get access for a week before joining for a year at full price.

Next, we’ll discuss the team’s plans for the upcoming bye week, including the team’s practice schedule and recruiting plans. What can the current staff say or do to keep players in the program? How can they begin to attract talent to the roster without the next coach in place? We’ll briefly touch on those topics.

Finally, we’ll end the show by discussing Saturday’s game. We’ll review the Penn State offensive and defensive performances to discuss what the team did to try to get a win against Iowa. We’ll review Ethan Grunkemeyer’s debut, the wrinkles the team added, and if the plan has sustainability and life to it.
