BWI Photos: Penn State beats up on Villanova to finish nonconfernce 3-0

Penn State is 3-0 heading into its bye week before what’s expected to be a top-five showdown against Oregon next weekend for the annual White Out game.
It’s no secret that the Nittany Lions played one of the weakest nonconference schedules of the season. On the one hand, they suffered no major injuries. That’s a plus. On the other hand, all three games against Nevada, FIU and Villanova left fans wanting more.

“We’re 3-0,” Penn State head coach James Franklin said following the game. “I’d love to see us further ahead. I’d love to see us playing dominant in all three phases, but we know the things that we need to improve on, and we got plenty of film. Again, this bye week is going to be important for us with a real challenge coming up the following week.”
