The Penn State men’s hockey team will host its first-ever game at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, when Michigan State rolls into State College for a two-game series that starts on Fri., Jan. 30, at Pegula Ice Arena. Then, the Nittany Lions will take the show on the road to the university’s football field for a spectacle that is sure to remind many of a White Out game.

“We’re extremely excited,” Lions coach Guy Gadowksy told reporters at the team’s media day event earlier this week. “And I can tell you, it’s that’s one of the most common questions that I’ve received since day one of getting here. For it to finally happen, it’s awesome? There’s a lot of Penn Staters that are extremely excited about it.

“I consider it an honor to get to do it. I think it’s awesome. What Pat Kraft, Vinnie James, his entire staff have meant; they got this done. It was all them. And specifically, I think Pat is a guy that really fits into hockey culture. I do. I know the team really grab like really relates to him. So the messages that he has to our team are really well received. He does it in an awesome hockey way.”

Penn State has not yet said how many seats will be available for the game. The stadium will be undergoing renovations, of course. It is currently amid a multi-year, $700 million project that started last year.

When do tickets go on sale for the Penn State hockey game at Beaver Stadium?

First things first: If you are a Penn State hockey season ticket holder, there is no additional charge for you. But, you will have to select your seat at Beaver Stadium. The process to do so runs Tuesday, October 7 through Sunday, October 12 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). Additional information will be forthcoming about that process.

As for student tickets, the same thing that is listed above applies to student season ticket holders. If you are not one of them, Penn State says that “a lottery, similar to football student tickets, will be held. Student tickets for the game are $24 with the lottery request window opening Monday, October 6 at 8 a.m. (ET) and closing Friday, October 10 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). If you are not selected in the lottery, you will be refunded in full.”

Additionally, if you are a current Penn State football season ticket holder or a member of the Nittany Lion Club, there will be a presale for you on Tuesday, October 14.

Last but not least, the public on-sale date is Wednesday, Oct. 15.

What will tickets cost?

We have the pricing and seating chart map below. The cheapest non-student seat will be $28 a ticket for a spot in the north or south upper end zone. You can see the full chart below:
