Penn State wrestling is two wins away from making history. And, it can earn both of them tonight. The No. 1 Nittany Lions are in Nashville for the Collegiate Wrestling Duals. If they beat North Dakota State and then Stanford, the program will have won 77 consecutive dual meets and pass Oklahoma State for the longest streak in Division I history in the process.

“Last year we had a lot of fun,” Lions coach Cael Sanderson said this week, per PennLive. This event has become an annual staple on the team’s non-conference schedule.

“We had three exciting matches in a row (Binghamton, Little Rock, Missouri), and it was the same day the women’s volleyball team won the nationals, which made it even better. But, yeah, two matches. We’ll get our matches in this year and be ready to go by postseason.”
