Penn State is now less than 48 hours away from its White Out game clash with Oregon. The top 10 tilt marks the first time that the two programs will meet in the regular season since the 1960s. The Lions are a small favorite ahead of kickoff. It’s part of the reason why a close contest is expected.

“Offensively, they’re really tough to prepare for, because they’re moving almost every play,” Ducks coach Dan Lanning said this week. “So it just presents challenges, the shifts and movements and motions that they do. And have great running backs, a good quarterback and their wide receiver plays really stands out this year. They have some speed on the field. And then special teams are really sound. So, excited for that environment. It’s one that I haven’t been to before.”

Oregon at Penn State: Game time and details

Penn State leads the all-time series 3-2. Oregon beat the Lions when they last met, which was in the 2024 Big Ten title game, of course. Before that, the team had not played since the Rose Bowl to end the 1994 season, which PSU won 38-20. It also won the first contest between the two, 41-12, in the 1960 Liberty Bowl. The sides have split their previous regular season games, with Penn State winning in Portland 17-7 in 1963 before the Ducks won in State College 22-14 in 1964.

Here are the details for this year’s matchup:

Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
Date: Saturday, Sept. 13
Location: Beaver Stadium in State College, Pa.
