No. 6 Penn State returns to the field for the first time in October today when it hosts Massachusetts. The weather forecast is not great, as we will detail below. But, the outcome is expected to be good for the Nittany Lions, who are a massive favorite for their final non-conference contest of the year.

“We’re completely focused on UMass and the Minutemen coming to town. I got a ton of respect for Coach Brown,” James Franklin said Thursday night on the Penn State Coaches Show.

“Coach Brown was the defensive coordinator at the University of Maryland when I was the offensive coordinator. We used to battle against each other every day at practice. He’s got a lot of history back at that school and has done a really nice job. So our complete focus and attention is on UMass.”
