Jaziel Hart decides today: Will the four-star cornerback pick Penn State?

Penn State hopes to add to its Class of 2026 today when four-star cornerback Jaziel Hart picks his college home. The 6-foot, 170-pound On3 four-star is ending his recruitment before taking his scheduled official visits. He announced late last week that he was ready to wrap up his search, and now he’s on the cusp of doing so. Will he pick the Lions? We preview his decision below.

According to the defender’s Instagram, a ceremony at his school featuring other athletes who are making their college choice starts at 1:15 p.m. ET. Hart’s announcement is expected to come closer to 2 p.m. ET.
Who are the contenders besides Penn State?
Hart has a top five of Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. The Hokies have hosted him a recruitment-high seven times. The Nittany Lions are right behind them, as they hosted the cornerback for six unofficial visits. The senior-to-be was to take officials to Blacksburg and State College in addition to 48-hour all-expenses-paid trips to see the Volunteers and Wolverines in the weeks ahead. Now, he’ll see just one of those schools: The one he picks, of course.
What does the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine say?
Penn State has a commanding lead in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine. Its lead is powered by RPM picks from On3 Vice President of Recruiting and Transfer Portal Steve Wiltfong and BWI recruiting insider Ryan Snyder. The former has projected the Lions to land Hart since January.

What has Hart said about his finalists?
While five hats will be on the proverbial table, Hart told On3’s EJ Holland earlier this year that Penn State and Michigan were his leaders. And, thus, the decision likely comes down to those two in the end.
“Penn State and Michigan are at the top right now,” Hart said. “They’ve shown intense and consistent loyalty to me. They’ve shown consistent love and hospitality every time I go [to those two schools].
