Recap: Penn State slogs through 34-0 win over FIU at Beaver Stadium

STATE COLLEGE — Head coach James Franklin is unlikely to be overly thrilled by his team’s Week 2 win over FIU a 42.5-point favorite at BetMGM. But, it was a victory nonetheless. The Lions scored 14 points on their final two plays on offense to open up what was a 20-0 game to win, 34-0, at Beaver Stadium.

The Lions have 93 rushing yards but have struggled again in short yardage situations. They are also 4 of 12 on third and fourth downs.
“We got to make some throws,” James Franklin told the Penn State Sports Network. “Not running the ball as consistently as we could. Defense has been bend but don’t break. Need to be more suffocating.”
