Penn State tweets of the day
We start with a personnel update for this weekend’s top five matchup between the Nittany Lions and Buckeyes. The latter was expecting to be without top-three linebacker Arvell Reese for the first half of Saturday’s game after he was ejected in the fourth quarter of last weekend’s win over Nebraska for targeting. However, the Big Ten has overturned his suspension after reviewing the play.
“Ohio State filed an appeal to the Big Ten Conference on behalf of Arvell Reese’s action in the fourth quarter of the game,” Ohio State Athletics said in a statement. “The Big Ten went to the NCAA Football Secretary Rules-Editor and, after review, it was determined that this was not targeting.”
Reese is not an integral part of the Ohio State defense, but he is a frequent contributor. He has played 160 snaps this year, which is third among the team’s linebackers. He has netted 17 tackles (two for loss) and two pass breakups.

Quote of the day
“I think he’s played enough football for us that, that timeline will go all the way up to the game, really. I do think from a practice perspective, no matter where we’re at on Tuesday, we’re going to have to get both of those guys reps, Tuesday and Wednesday. It’s too early to tell at this point.
“We’re going to have to have both [Drew Allar and Beau Pribula] ready. And, you could make the argument all three guys ready, which is challenging to do in a game week. Had some conversations with Danny [O’Brien] and Andy [Kotelnicki] about that already. But I do think Drew has played enough football that it will go all the way up to game time before we make that decision.”
