Penn State 2025 kick times: When will each non-conference game, Homecoming game with Northwestern, start?

Penn State will host FIU during Week 2 and Villanova during Week 3 of the college football season. It marks the second meeting all-time between the Lions and Panthers and 10th between them and the Wildcats. And, both contests now have a start time and television designation.
BTN will air the Penn State-FIU game on Sept. 6, the network announced. Kickoff will be at Noon inside of Beaver Stadium. No point spread is out for the game. But, according to Bill Connelly’s most recent SP+ figures, the Lions should be a heavy favorite of at least seven touchdown favorites, if not more.
As for the Villanova game, it starts at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1 on Sept. 13.
Penn State opens the 2025 season on Aug. 30 when it hosts Nevada. That game will start at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The Big Ten also announced Thursday that Penn State-Oregon will be in primetime at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC. It is also now confirmed to be this year’s White Out game. And, the Lions’ Oct. 11 visit from Northwestern, which is this year’s Homecoming game, will start at either Noon, 3:30, or 4 p.m. on a to-be-determined network.

The FIU Panthers last came to Beaver Stadium in 2007. Anthony Morelli had three touchdown tosses and Austin Scott recorded a pair of scoring scampers en route to a 59-0 Penn State win. The team is now coached by Willie Simmons, who is the seventh coach in program history. He recently put his team through spring practices for the first time. He previously coached under Manny Diaz at Duke.

“I just worked with [Duke coach] Manny Diaz, who was previously [a defensive coordinator] at Penn State,” Simmons told the Miami Herald in February. “[Diaz] raved about his time at Penn State, the game-day experience and the environment. I’m looking forward to seeing it in person.
“It’s a great opportunity for FIU. If you look at some of the mid-major programs who have made a mark like Appalachian State when they went to the Big House and beat Michigan … You think about all the Boise State wins that are no longer called upsets. “We have a long way to go to get there, but that’s what I envision for this program.”
