Through the first four games, the team’s offense struggled to play with consistency and to put up points on a regular basis, even against subpar teams. What’s going on with the Penn State defense?
Finally, we’ll dig deeper into a topic we discussed earlier this week and put some facts to the team’s struggles on defense and the growing game plan that teams have used against Penn State’s defense to control the ball game and inflict long drives on the team.
We’ll discuss the pain points for the defense and why the loss of linebacker Tony Rojas is such a big deal for the Nittany Lions’ defensive front. Finally, we’ll discuss whether or not Northwestern can apply the same plan to this weekend that other teams have used against Jim Knowles and his squad so far.
