Keian Kaiser details commitment: "I've always known Penn State as 'Linebacker U'
Penn State has added linebacker Keian Kaiser to its Class of 2026.
A 6-foot-4, 215-pound prospect from Sidney, Neb., Kaiser earned his first scholarship offer from Iowa State towards the end of his junior season in Nov. 2024. Wyoming also offered in February, but Kaiser ended his recruitment a few weeks later, committing to Matt Campbell and his staff. Kaiser added an offer from Minnesota after he was released from his papers after signing with the Cyclones. However, he decided not to entertain the Gophers and will instead join Campbell at Penn State.
“Coach Campbell and his staff have done a really good job at making me feel like an important part of this recruiting class,” Kaiser said. “They’ve always believed very highly in me.”
Although he plays for a small school in Western Nebraska, Kaiser put up big numbers throughout his prep career, totaling 352 tackles.

This season, he played a big role in leading Sidney to the state championship game, totaling 111 tackles and 39 tackles for loss. Offensively, he added 38 receptions for 572 yards and nine touchdowns playing tight end. Kaiser also impressed during his track and field season last spring, reaching Nebraska’s Class B state championship in the high jump last May. He finished second with a leap of 6-foot, 4 inches.
Now, he joins a Penn State class that features a handful of defensive players, including former Iowa State defensive back signees Bryson Williams and Tyrell Chatman.

“I’ve always known Penn State as ‘Linebacker U,'” Kaiser said. “I remember driving back home after getting my offer from Iowa State. We were all excited, thinking about what could come and we actually talked about how awesome it would be to go on a visit to Penn State and go to the White Out game.
“I don’t know how I remember that, but I always have. Now, it’s kind of a surreal moment thinking back on that. My dad being able to mark off a Penn State White Out game on his bucket list, and me as well, that’s very exciting for us. I’m excited to do everything I can to help this team.”
Kaiser holds a three-star rating by all three major recruiting sites. As of now, he’s the only current commt in the class that won’t be enrolling early.
