Awards season is upon us, and Penn State football is off to a strong start.

Three Nittany Lions picked up All-American honors this week, as The Athletic, CBS Sports and The Action Network revealed their selections.

Jaquan Brisker

Jaquan Brisker turned in a special regular season as the safety closes out his Penn State career.

CBS and The Action Network gave Brisker first-team All-American honors, while he picked up a second-team nomination from the staff at The Athletic.

A true devotee of game film — his roommates say he’s almost always studying something — Brisker showcased a strong ability to read the game during the 2021 season.

Brisker helped the Nittany Lions finish as a top-10 scoring defense in the country. He finished the season with 63 tackles and six tackles for loss.

Brisker also brought down two interceptions and recovered a fumble, breaking up five passes as well.

He was targeted 21 times in coverage and allowed only 12 receptions for 105 yards, according to Pro Football Focus. Quarterbacks achieved a rating of just 46.8 when throwing in his direction.

Jordan Stout

The Big Ten Punter of the Year picked up some more accolades this week.

Jordan Stout was named a second-team All-American by both CBS and The Athletic, recognizing what has been an exceptional season in the punting game for Penn State’s special teams utility infielder.

Penn State finished the regular season second in the country in Football Outsiders’ punt efficiency metric, trailing only Cincinnati.

Stout punted 62 times on the season, averaging 46.5 yards per punt.

He earned the No. 1 PFF punt grade nationally, averaged the most hang time at 4.36 seconds, and finished second in net punting.

Arnold Ebiketie

Penn State defensive end Arnold Ebiketie earned second-team honors from The Athletic.

Ebiketie headlined a group of incoming transfers that made a key impact for the Nittany Lions in 2021.

His presence at the defensive end took on added importance following a preseason injury to Adisa Isaac. Ebiketie met expectations and then some.

He finished the season with 9.5 sacks, which ranks third in the Big Ten.

Ebiketie proved crucial against the running game as well. His 18 tackles for loss led the conference and ranked sixth nationally.

He added a pair of blocked kicks on special teams, too.

Penn State commit Nick Singleton is Gatorade Player of the Year in PA

Penn State running back commit Nick Singleton earned a prestigious honor on Tuesday, as Gatorade named him its Player of the Year for the state of Pennsylvania.

Singleton tore up high school defenses all season at Governor Mifflin High School, leading the Mustangs to a stellar 10-1 season.

He became just the all-time leading rusher in Berks County, topping off his career by compiling 2,043 yards and 41 touchdowns for the Mustangs in 2021.

Singelton averaged 13.2 yards per touch and found the end zone on roughly 25 percent of his touches.
