The Penn State Nittany Lions football team faces the Oregon Ducks in the 2025 White Out Game this Saturday at Beaver Stadium. It’s the biggest game of the weekend in college football, with College Gameday coming to campus for the 7:30 kickoff.

To start off the week, Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke with reporters for roughly 40 minutes on Monday in his weekly press conference inside Beaver Stadium’s press room. You can hear Franklin’s complete comments here in this article or on the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel.

Penn State is coming off a bye week, with extra time to prepare for Oregon heading into the week. It was also a time for his players to rest and recover before the matchup. Franklin discussed the players who have impressed his staff while reviewing the film so far.

“It’s been impressive to watch what they’ve been able to do in a short period of time.”

“They’re multiple, is the best way I would describe. Multiple personnel group, multiple tempos, multiple schemes,” Franklin said. “I think the tight end makes them go.”

Of course, Franklin also highlighted Oregon quarterback Dante Moore, whom he praised for his maturity.

“Dante Moore, a young man we recruited the heck out of Michigan.”

Both Oregon and Penn State have had soft schedules to start the year. Neither team cracks the top 100 most difficult schedules to begin the season before this matchup.
