Penn State head coach James Franklin Wednesday press conference: Oregon

The Penn State Nittany Lions football team faces the Oregon Ducks in the battle of two top-ten teams on Saturday night. It’s also the 2025 White Out game for the Nittany Lions. But at the Lasch Football building, it was business as usual for Penn State head coach James Franklin and his team. At least, that’s the message Franklin has delivered repeatedly before big games. Wednesday night, Franklin spoke with reporters after practice to answer media questions one final time before the game this weekend. On how the right side of the Penn State’s offensive line is performing so far

“Yeah, just building chemistry between those guys,” Franklin said. “Obviously, the beginning of the season, that was new. It’s not new anymore. They’re a veteran group, and we got to approach it as such. Donkoh has obviously gotten a ton of work at guard. But those two are working together, I think just the communication, the footwork, all of it, I think they’re in a better place. I think Rucci also is getting back to playing how he was at the end of last season, which was at a really, really high level. So I think we’re in a much better place.”
