Penn State injury report: New names are out for the Lions today, but two starters are back for FIU

STATE COLLEGE — Penn State is two hours away from taking on FIU during Week 2 of the college football season. That means the Lions’ latest availability report is out. Who’s in, and who’s questionable, for head coach James Franklin’s team today? Here’s the list:

Takeaways from the Penn State injury report

The good news for the Lions is that two expected starters are going to be back on the field as expected. Franklin said earlier this week that defensive end Zuriah Fisher and cornerback Zion Tracy were trending toward being available after missing Week 1. And, that will be the case.

“He’s ready to go,” Franklin said on Wednesday about Tracy. “He’s practiced all week long, including Sunday. So, we’re anticipating him [being] ready to go.”

He added on Fisher:

“Yeah, I would still think though, even in this game, even if he wants to [play], we’ll probably only play him a limited amount of reps. But right now, he’s a go.”

“There’ll be two significant guys [Fisher and Tracy] that we’ll get back. Veterans who have played a decent amount of football for us.”

New names who are OUT today include freshman Adirika, Outten, Parker, and Samuel.
