Penn State Loses More Commits in Class of 2026 | Michigan State Preview
The Penn State Nittany Lions face the Michigan State Spartans in the first of a critical three-game stretch to end the 2025 regular season. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, we’ll discuss how those three weeks are also critical for the team’s recruiting efforts heading into the early signing period in December. How will Penn State navigate this weekend and beyond?
We’ll discuss all of that and share our thoughts on today’s practice viewing session on the show. Join us live at 10 a.m. on YouTube to discuss your thoughts as well! We’ll be taking your questions and comments throughout the show to see what’s on your mind this week.
Practice update and recruiting news
Penn State held open practice on Wednesday evening in a truncated fashion. We’ll spend a few minutes discussing what we saw in the two-period open viewing session for the media. What did we see? Tune in to find out.
Next, we’ll dig into the latest recruiting news for the program. More player are flipping or opening up their commitments. We’ll review the latest players to choose other programs and discuss the fallout of what the 2026 recruiting situation is for Penn State heading into the early signing period.
Of course, the team hosted recruits last week against Indiana. Were they able to get critical players to join them on campus for the near-upset victory over Indiana? Reporter Ryan Snyder will discuss how commit Marlen Bright made it back to campus and the significance of his presence to the class.

Penn State vs Michigan State Preview
Finally, we’ll discuss the upcoming game against Michigan State. Can Penn State finally get a Big Ten win in a season of agonizing defeats? We’ll discuss where Penn State can take advantage of the Spartans and how we see this game playing out between the lines.
The biggest wildcard for the Nittany Lions is that there’s uncertainty about how Michigan State will play at quarterback. Backup Alessio Milivojevic gave the team a spark and nearly upset Minnesota in the team’s Nov. 1, 23-20 loss. Milivojevic completed 71% of his passes for 311 yards in the back-and-forth affair.
Yet starter Aidan Chiles is athletic and dangerous with the ball in his hands. He has 255 yards on designed runs this year and another 157 scrambling. QB containment has been the Achilles Heel of the Penn State defense, so which player will see the field this weekend?
