Penn State tweets of the day
We start with an update on the transfer portal. Penn State offered former Tulsa offensive lineman Jaden Muskrat when he entered the portal back on April 15. On Monday, he committed to Auburn. Muskrat picked up numerous offers but seemed to favor the Tigers out of the gate. He will now play for the SEC program in 2023.
In other news, Penn State letterman Steven Gonzalez was picked for the All-XFL Offense team. The New Jersey native started all 10 games for the St. Louis Battlehawks this season as the spring football league played its inaugural season under new ownership.
In other XFL news, fellow former Lions lineman Michal Menet was invited to the Atlanta Falcons’ minicamp after performing well in the spring season.

Finally, for this section, Penn State alum and former college and pro defensive lineman Jordan Hill will enter the Capital Area Chapter of the PA Sports Hall of Fame this year.
” He was an all-state defensive lineman and the Class A state player of the year in 2008,” PennLive writes. “He was a 3-year starter at Penn State University and First Team All-Big Ten and captain for the Nittany Lions in 2012. Hill was selected 87th in the 2013 NFL Draft and played for the Super Bowl 48 champion Seattle Seahawks. He played five years in the NFL with Seattle, Detroit, Jacksonville, and Washington.”

Quote of the day
“It’s a hard change, obviously. There’s a lot more. It’s more mentally taxing. But, I enjoy it because there’s a lot of stuff that can happen.
“At center, we try to make all the calls, see all the pressures go out, all that stuff. So, it’s hard. But, I was taking practice center reps [last] fall as well. So, it’s been a smooth transition, I think.”
