Friday on the BWI Daily Edition means Ryan Snyder stops by to give the audience his weekend best bets in college football. But Snyder is also Blue White Illustrated’s Penn State recruiting insider so he’ll drop knowledge on this week’s news and preview the upcoming recruiting visitors for Central Michigan. Penn State recruiting preview

Snyder joins host Thomas Frank Carr, who starts the show by asking Snyder about an important new recruiting offer for 2023. Penn State is still looking for players at several positions, including defensive end, offensive tackle, and receiver. That last position is in flux for the Nittany Lions, and Snyder fills T-Frank in on a new player Penn State is targeting. Hear from Snyder to learn more about Taeshaun Lyons. Finally, Snyder highlights another offer this week at one of those critical positions in Keyshawn Blackstock.

The list of visitors for Central Michigan is short, but important players are visiting this weekend. Snyder goes through the top recruits visiting on Saturday before he and T-Frank transition to the next topic.

Next, Snyder chooses one recruit each weekend to see in person, and this week, he’s headed to Pittsburgh to check out five-star athlete Quinton Martin. Snyder says that the 2024 running back is the prize of not just this class but possibly multiple years. But will any Penn State coaches join him this weekend? Snyder gives T-Frank the rundown of where the staff is headed on Friday night and which recruits they’ll see play.

Ryan Snyder’s Best Bets

Finally, Snyder and T-Frank get into the show’s main event, Ryan Snyder’s Best Bets. Here is the action for this weekend that Snyder has targeted.

TCU (-2) vs. SMU
Eastern Michigan(-6) vs. Buffalo
Old Dominion (-4.5) vs. Arkansas State
Northwestern (-7) vs. Miami (Ohio)
Penn State (-27.5) vs. Central Michigan

Of course, the featured game of the week is always Penn State. This week T-Frank gives a preview of what he saw on film from Central Michigan. He discusses which players and what schemes stood out for the Chippewas and how he thinks Penn State should attack offensively.

While the Nittany Lions didn’t need much from the receivers last week, can this group put together a breakout performance against their last MAC opponent? T-Frank and Snyder highlight Parker Washington and the depth players behind him as key factors on Saturday. If they can put together an explosive afternoon, it will be a short day’s work for the starters.
