Top 100 TE Andrew Olesh announces top schools, sets official visit date for Penn State

One of Pennsylvania’s top remaining prospects in the Class of 2025, tight end Andrew Olesh, announced Tuesday afternoon that Penn State is one of eight schools still in the mix with the Top 100 prospect.
Listed at 6-foot-5, 215 pounds, Olesh is also still considering Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss and Pittsburgh. Of those schools, Missouri is the only one he hasn’t visited yet but he plans to do so in the coming weeks.
“From those eight schools, I have really gotten along with the coaches when I’ve talked with them over the phone or in person,” Olesh told On3’s Chad Simmons. “They’ve gone over the film and how I would fit into their offensive scheme. I really like all of these schools because of the relationships, how they would use me in their offense and the education.”
So far, the nation’s third-ranked tight end has locked in three official visits, beginning with Alabama May 31 to June 2. He currently doesn’t have anything schedule for June 7-9 but that’ll likely change in the coming weeks. Penn State has its official visit locked in the same weekend they host all their committed players, June 14-16, while Michigan will host him the final weekend before the dead period begins, June 21-23.

“I want to see where the best atmosphere is and where it feels like home,” Olesh said. “Of my top eight schools, I want to visit as many as possible. The more I go, the better, so I can see all the different atmospheres. That’s the main thing for me.”

He went on to add, “I’ve been telling a lot of guys that I’m not a huge portal guy, so I want to stay somewhere for three to four years. I don’t want to transfer out, so I really want to pick a school that has a good atmosphere, feels like home and that I can help win.”
Moving forward, Olesh said he plans to narrow his list down one more time to four schools. The goal is to make a commitment some time this summer.
“Most likely in the next month or two, I think I’m going to cut my list to a top four and then I’ll go from there and commit after that,” Olesh said.
Olesh, who’s been primarily recruited by Ty Howle, has been to Penn State more than any other school so far. He also has family members who graduated from the school.
