Penn State and most major Division I programs were up late last night, reaching out to Class of 2027 prospects to show their interest. Beginning last summer, the NCAA moved up the date that coaches could contact rising juniors from August 1 to June 15.

That made yesterday an incredibly busy day for Penn State’s coaching and recruiting staff. In addition to hosting official visitors and their families throughout the day, they also had to stay up until as late as 3 a.m. Eastern time to message players on the West Coast at midnight Pacific time.

Who were some of the prospects that the Nittany Lions contacted? Below are some graphics that prospects have posted publicly through Sunday morning.

OL Cameron Wagner

A four-star prospect from Illinois, Cameron Wagner earned an offer from Penn State in February. He’s since visited twice, attending a spring practice in April and then again this past weekend to camp with Phil Trautwein and the offensive line staff. Notable offers include Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Louisville, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M.

LB Brandon Lockley

St. Joseph’s Prep linebacker Brandon Lockley has taken three visits to Penn State so far. His most recent trip was in April to watch spring practice, but he also attended junior day in January and last year’s Lasch Bash in July 2024. The fours-star prospect holds 19 offers so far, including programs like Duke, Michigan, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

DE Abraham Sesay

Listed at 6-foot-4, 210 pounds, Abraham Sesay picked up his first two offers from Rutgers and Syracuse in January. Penn State became the third school to offer the Downingtown East prospect in late March, and since then, his stock has rocketed, adding eight additional offers over the past 10 weeks. A member of the On300, Sesay visited Penn State in March and then again for the Blue-White Game in April. He’s expected to return to campus next week.

RB Isaiah Rogers

Penn State extended an offer to Isaiah Rogers just two weeks ago, on June 2. It came after a very good performance at the Under Armour Regional camp in New Jersey. The New England prospect holds early offers from Boston College, Maryland, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Syracuse and Washington.

LB Zykee Scott

Linebacker Zykee Scott earned an offer from Penn State in May 2023 when he was still at Imhotep Charter. He played two seasons there and has since transferred to La Salle. That move has been very beneficial for Scott, picking up nine of his 11 offers in just two months. He’s currently holds an 89 rating by On3, making him a high three-star prospect. Scott has taken four visits to Penn State so far.

Saf. Jonathan Galette

Safety Jonathan Galette earned an offer from Penn State at the end of March. The St. Joseph Regional prospect has added quite a few prominent offers in recent weeks, including Michigan and Ohio State. The 5-11, 170-pound defensive back has taken three visits to Penn State so far. He was just on campus two weeks ago to camp with the staff on June 1.

OL Jimmy Kalis

Pittsburgh Central Catholic offensive tackle Jimmy Kalis has emerged as one of the most coveted linemen in the country, totaling more than 40 offers already. He told BWI back in January that an offer from Penn State was “super special” for him and his family, as he grew up watching the Nittany Lions. Now, there’s no shortage of competition, but PSU should be a contender throughout his recruitment.

Ath. Gabriel Jenkins

Ath. Gabriel Jenkins has already visited Penn State seven times since his freshman season in 2023. He’s also teammates at Imani Christian with 2026 commit David Davis. Now closing in on 20 scholarship offers, Jenkins is considered a four-star prospect in the Industry Rankings, coming in at No. 6 overall in Pennsylvania. At 6-1, 190 pounds, he’s currently playing safety in high school but could grow into a linebacker at the college level.
