One of the top players in Pennsylvania in the Class of 2026 is taking his talents outside of the Keystone State. Glenside, Pa., La Salle College four-star offensive lineman Grayson McKeogh has committed to Notre Dame. Penn State was one of the schools that was pushing to land him the hardest, along with the Fighting Irish and Texas, among others.

“I just feel that it’s where I fit in best,” McKeogh told On3’s Steve Wiltfong. “All those guys that surround the program feel like me and are people who I can surround myself with for the next couple years. You are who you surround yourselves with and aside from the great academic and football prestige that’s what they’ve got.”

The 6-foot-7, 280-pound prospect made his decision on Wednesday. It came just days after his official visit to South Bend wrapped up. He took one to see the Nittany Lion the week prior.

“The environment was really something to see,” McKeogh told On3 about his trip to South Bend. “From the beginning to the very end it was all about the tradition and energy of the program. Even all the players had that energy and had the idea of presenting the program that they believed in. The way Coach Freeman and Coach Rudolph can develop me is really exciting. “Playing alongside all those players and commits would be something I can see myself doing.”

The On3 Industry Rankings call McKeogh the No. 278 player overall, No. 21 offensive lineman, and No. 8 player in Pennsylvania. On3’s scouts are higher on him, ranking him at Nos. 181, 21, and 8, respectively.

With McKeogh picking the Fighting Irish, Penn State continues to have 20 verbal commitments in the Class of 2026. That is good for 11th nationally in the On3 Team Industry Rankings. Three of the commits, headlined by four-star Kevin Brown, who is the top player in the Keystone State, are future offensive linemen. And, even without McKeogh’s pledge, Penn State still has commitments from six of Pennsylvania’s top 11 players in the On3 Industry Rankings. Notre Dame is second with two as of June 18.
