Trimmings: Three things on Jackson Ford's Penn State commitment

Penn State is back to 21 commitments in the Class of 2026 following the decision of Phoenixville (Pa.) Malvern Prep defensive end Jackson Ford. The Nittany Lions pulled away late for the talented in-state pass rusher, who had a final four that also included Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin. After taking visits to all four, as well as Kentucky and Stanford, he announced for James Franklin’s program on Friday afternoon. With his pledge, Penn State is also back to one committed Edge in the cycle. Early pledge Daniel Jennings reclassified earlier this summer and is supposed to arrive on campus in July. The Nittany Lions missed out on New Jersey defensive end Luke Wafle last week, and while they’re still hanging in there for On3 five-star Carter Meadows, securing a commitment from Ford feels like a big step.
