What is the opening point spread for Penn State-UCLA? The number is out

Penn State looks to return to the win column next Saturday when it goes on the road for the first time this season. The Nittany Lions travel to UCLA for the first time since the Bruins joined the Big Ten. Interim head coach Tim Skipper’s team is struggling. It dropped a road contest at Northwestern 17-14 on Saturday, falling to 0-4.
“Yeah, a lot of competitors in that locker room,” Skipper said, according to UCLA’s official website. “It stings. It really does sting. But like I told those guys, you’ve got to keep your heads up – I mean we are going to be in a fight every single game. It is all conference games now. This is a really good conference. No one is going to feel sorry for you. So keep your heads up, and it is going to be a tough flight home. But once we land back home, we got to get ready to go for the next one.”
Penn State must as well. The Lions are looking to bounce back after falling to Oregon in double overtime, 30-24, on Saturday night at Beaver Stadium. Head coach James Franklin’s team struggled on offense for much of the game. Then, Drew Allar threw an interception to end the contest. The Lions fell to 3-1 and will tumble in the polls because of it. But, they are still a massive favorite for their meeting with UCLA.

What is the Penn State-UCLA point spread?
BetMGM put out an initial point spread for the game on Sunday. Penn State is a 25.5-point favorite. The over/under is 50.5 points. The Lions are 0-4 now against the spread this season. They will be expected to cover against the Bruins and do so comfortably.
“We’re going to watch this tape,” Franklin said after the Oregon loss. “I think we’re going to feel like we had tons of opportunities to win this game. There’s going to be a lot to learn from it, obviously. The way college football is today, there’s going to be very few teams that finish the end of the season unscathed. We’ve got to learn from this. We need to have a great week next week. We’ve got to tune out all the noise, and we’ve got to get better from this and get on a roll for the rest of the season.”
Penn State-UCLA is set to start at 3:30 p.m. ET. CBS will televise the contest.
