What time is Matt Campbell's contract being voted on, and when will Penn State introduce him today?

Penn State is ready to consummate its arrangement with new head football coach Matt Campbell. The Nittany Lions announced on Friday night that they were hiring the former Iowa State coach following his 10th regular season in Ames. On Sunday, he flew into State College. Today, the Lions’ Board of Trustees Committee on Equity and Human Resources will vote to approve the terms of the deal. Afterward, Campbell will speak for the first time as the new leader of the Lions at Beaver Stadium.

“Coach Campbell is, without a doubt, the right leader at the right time for Penn State football,” athletic director Pat Kraft “said in a statement on Friday that ended his 54-day search for James Franklin’s replacement. “He is a stellar coach with a proven track record of success and his values, character and approach to leading student-athletes to success on and off the field align perfectly with the traditions and values of Penn State. 

“As we start this exciting next chapter for our football program with Coach Campbell at the helm, the future is bright. We will continue to build upon and elevate the high standard that is the hallmark of our program.”

The Board of Trustees’ committee meeting is at 10:45 a.m. ET. It will likely be very short, and take only as long as is needed to vote on the deal. It will pass, and likely unanimously. You can watch the meeting here.
