Penn State will play in Beaver Stadium for the penultimate time this season on Nov. 8 when No. 2 Indiana comes to State College for a Big Ten matchup. The Hoosiers are undefeated entering a road trip to Maryland this weekend. The Lions sit at 3-4 on the year and go to No. 1 Ohio State this Saturday before welcoming Curt Cignetti’s team to town. When will that game start?

The Big Ten and its television partners said on Monday that the Hoosier-Lions game is among a few Big Ten contests next weekend that are subject to a six-day hold. That means a kickoff time and television designation will not be out until late on the evening of Saturday, Nov. 1, or early in the morning on Sun., Nov. 2.

Interim head coach Terry Smith and his staff are busy preparing their Lions for two top-five matchups in as many weeks.

“The energy of the building has been very positive, proud of our leadership in the locker room, and how connected this group is,” Smith said Monday. “Right now, we have a tremendous opportunity here on Saturday to go to Ohio State. They’re a very well-coached team, very talented. Coach Day has done an amazing job with those guys. This is why you come to Penn State for this big stage. To play in games like this, and be able to compete against the number one team in the country. And, have an opportunity to beat those guys.

“The staff is confident the way we’ve prepared so far. We had a really good week last week. We’re looking forward to having a good week this week. And everyone’s positive and ready to go.”
