It’s time to dive into Friday’s top tweets and headlines about the Nittany Lions and college athletics.

Penn State tweets of the day

We start with a fresh look at the new InterMat college wrestling rankings ahead of tonight’s Penn State-Iowa dual meet. All 10 Nittany Lions who start are inside of the top 10 in their respective weight class. Five are No. 1, including Beau Bartlett, who moved up from No. 2 after Hawkeye Real Woods lost last Friday night. On the season, the Penn State senior is 14-0 ahead of the pair’s meeting tonight. Two Nittany Lions did move down, as Aaron Nagao and Bernie Truax dropped a spot at 133 and 184 pounds, respectively, after losing last Friday night.

“He’s a really solid, good, hard-working kid … very disciplined. And he’s just missing angles and positions by a tiny amount,” Lions coach Cael Sanderson said about Nagao this week. “So I just see his potential and I think it’s really great. He knows what he’s doing, he’s a proven winner. And, he’s a proven gamer; he’s gonna be at his best in those big moments.”

Here are the new rankings. The number in parenthesis reflects last week’s ranking.

125 pounds: Braden Davis, 2 (3)

133 pounds: Aaron Nagao, 6 (5)
