Which player in Penn State-UCLA is among the most-bet anytime touchdown scorer props nationally?

LOS ANGELES — Penn State and UCLA meet today in the Rose Bowl for a Big Ten clash to kick off the October portion of the regular season. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. CBS is televising the contest. Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson, and Jenny Dell will be on the call. The No. 7 Nittany Lions enter the contest at 3-1 with hopes of getting back to their winning ways after losing in double overtime last weekend to Oregon. The Bruins, meanwhile, are 0-4 and have an interim head coach, a first-time playcaller on offense, and a second-week defensive coordinator. Despite all of the uncertainty and newness, bettors are lining up to back one member of Saturday’s home team to find the end zone.

Per BetMGM, UCLA quarterback Nico Iamaleava is the fourth most-bet player in the country to score a touchdown at any point in the game. For those unfamiliar with how anytime touchdown scorer props work, quarterbacks must run into the end zone for that bet to cash. Passing scores do not count. Iamaleava has carried 44 times this season for 204 yards and just one touchdown. If some bettors are right, he’ll add to that total on Saturday afternoon.

According to its data, 80 percent of the bets and 87 percent of the money used to make them are on the Nittany Lions to cover the point spread. Beyond that, there are more tickets on the over, which is 48.5 points, but more money on the under.
