Who are the Big Ten Network announcers for Penn State-FIU?

Penn State football returns to the field on Saturday when it hosts FIU at Beaver Stadium. Both teams are 1-0 after easily dispatching different non-conference foes in Week 1. It’s the second meeting all-time between the two schools, as the Lions beat the Panthers 59-0 in State College back in 2007. The Big Ten Network aired that game as one of the first contests ever broadcast on the channel. BTN will be back in town this Saturday for Lions-Panthers. Who will be on the call?
Guy Haberman is handling play-by-play duties. Yogi Roth is the color commentator. And, Rhett Lewis is the sideline reporter.
Head coach James Franklin’s team opened as a 42.5-point favorite at BetMGM on Sunday evening. However, as of Monday afternoon, the line is down to 41.5 points. Willie Simmons is in his first season as the Panthers’ head coach. He previously was on Manny Diaz’s staff at Duke. FIU quarterback Keyone Jenkins is the 2025 CUSA Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Hero Sports put him on its Group of Five preseason All-American team along with Panthers defensive back Brian Blades II.
More: Penn State hasn’t punted yet this year, but when it does, the Lions will have a new starter
“I’ve known Coach Simmons for a long time,” Lions coach James Franklin said Monday. “Got a ton of respect for him. Obviously, it’s still early in the season, so we’re still getting to know them. It’s still early in the week. It should be a good game, and we’re looking forward to the opportunity.

“It’s Monday and early in the season, so we only got really the one game from this year. New staff, lot of things that factor into it. So we’re going to have to be prepared just like we were last week. Offense, defense, the special teams. There are going to be things that show up in this game that we can’t prepare for or anticipate based on film breakdown and study, but we need to take a significant step compared to where we were last week.”
Penn State is hopeful to have veteran defensive end Zuriah Fisher back in action this weekend. After missing all of last season due to injury, he suffered some bumps and bruises during training camp that left him on the cusp of being able to play in Week 1. But, the Lions opted for a cautious approach instead.
“We were hopeful to have Zuriah,” Franklin said on Monday. “I will say this: We got to the game, and Zuriah was excited and wanted to play. We kind of held him, just because at that point, he hadn’t practiced enough and didn’t think that was the right thing to do for him or us. But my point is that, I think that explains how close he is, right?
“He’s close to being back, and that’ll be significant getting him back.”
