Who will the announcers be for Penn State-Northwestern on FS1?

Penn State will welcome Northwestern to town on Saturday for its first game at Beaver Stadium in October. The last time the Lions played there, they lost to Oregon in the White Out. The last time the team played at all, it lost to UCLA at the Rose Bowl. All of that has head coach James Franklin’s team sitting at 3-2 and on the outside looking in of the College Football Playoff chase. No matter how mad they and the fan base are, though, the reality is that the Wildcats (who beat the Bruins 17-14, by the way) are coming for a Week 7 clash, and the Lions must be ready for them.
“We’re in the position we’re in because we’re Penn State,” Lions quarterback Drew Allar said. “We have to come out and win games, and we have the talent to, but we just have to go out and find different results. When you don’t get those results, there will be things that happen that are hard to deal with, but you just have to learn to deal with it. I’ve been here starting now for a few years, so I’ve gotten used to it.”
Franklin also discussed the need to move forward, as well.
“We have to tune out all the outside noise,” he said at the Rose Bowl. “I thought our guys worked hard at doing that last week, but obviously not well enough. We have to stick together; the coaches, the players in the locker room; offense, defense, the special teams. The reality is we didn’t play well enough in all three facets to win the game, and there’s going to be a lot out there to divide, divide, divide, and we have to tune all that out and stick together. I think we’ll do that; it’s not going to be easy but I think we’ll do that.”

Who are the announcers for Penn State-Northwestern?
The crew is now out. Connor Onion will handle the play-by-play duties. Mark Helfrich will be in the west side broadcasting booth at Beaver Stadium to provide color commentary. This is the second time this season that Penn State is on FS1 with this crew. Their win over Villanova was also on the network’s airwaves.
Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Lions are around a three-touchdown favorite in the game. Penn State has yet to either cover a game this year or win against a Power Four foe. That should change this weekend. But, time will tell.
