2026 tight end Dream Rashad flips from Purdue to North Carolina
Purdue saw one of its commits flip on National Signing Day, as 2026 three-star Buford (Ga.) High tight end Dream Rashad has signed with North Carolina. The rising talent had been the focus of several other programs since his initial pledge to the Boilermakers, as North Carolina, North Carolina State, UCF and South Florida all extended offers.
Rashad took an official visit to Chapel Hill in November and was committed to the Boilermakers up until National Signing Day.

The former quarterback transitioned to tight end last off-season and emerged as a Power 4 prospect. In his one season at the position, Rashad has tallied 16 catches for 285 yards and three touchdowns.
The Boilermakers signed two other tight ends on Wednesday, in Archbishop Moeller (Oh.) Cooper McCutchan and Southside (Ala.) ArMari Towns. McCutchan flipped from North Carolina to Purdue last Monday, while Towns chose the Boilermakers over the Tar Heels on Wednesday.
