FB Prospects Flip Watch

It’s officially flip season across college football, with commitments dropping like flies and programs are looking to bolster their 2026 recruiting classes with currently committed talent. Purdue is no different. Barry Odom and the Boilermakers have a handful of prospects that could be added to the class, while having to recruit several names committed.

GoldandBlack.com breaks down a number of each, in the final two months before National Signing Day in December.

Three prospects Purdue could flip:

JJ Finch: Alabama commit and three-star Warren Central (Ind.) defensive lineman

Perhaps no bigger priority is in the 2026 class than in-state three-star defensive lineman JJ Finch. The Alabama commit has kept a low profile since his initial pledge to the Crimson Tide, all while other programs have attempted to lure him away from Kalen DeBoer and company in Tuscaloosa.

Purdue is among the programs trying its hardest to get Finch to flip. Barry Odom watched Finch and Warren Central during the off week, among other stops, showing where the Purdue head coach’s priorities lie at the moment.

This is an uphill battle, as Miami, LSU and Tennessee are also in contact with Finch. The Indianapolis product is still a soft commit, in my opinion, so that simple fact gives the Boilermakers a chance.

Santana Carlos: UCLA commit and three-star Flanigan (Fla.) wide receiver

Purdue has been active is looking for another wide receiver in the class, with one ex-UCLA commit as a potential addition. Santana Carlos was among Purdue’s top targets at the position previously, even taking an official visit to West Lafayette. The Bruins won the battle, but with DeShaun Foster getting fired, Carlos is looking into other options and officially backed off his pledge last week.

Carlos has also heard from Boston College and Tulane since the change in Westwood, but I expect Purdue to get him on campus at the very least. The Boilermakers have recruited Florida wide receivers well under Cornell Ford and Bilal Marshall. Could another win be on the horizon?

Jett Goldsberry: Ole Miss commit and four-star Heritage Hills (Ind.) athlete

Since Barry Odom’s first month on campus, Jett Goldsberry has been a priority. Since his commitment to Ole Miss in July, the Boilermakers have remained interested in the Heritage Hills standout. This flip would be less likely than the previous two, but one that would still make a lot of sense.

Goldsberry is a Purdue legacy, and in-state guy and would fill a position of need in the secondary.

As a caveat, I expect more names to be added to this list in the coming weeks and months leading into National Signing Day.

Five commits that Purdue has to fight to hold onto:

ArMari Towns: Southside (Ala.) tight end

At this point, it seems more likely that ArMari Towns will be enrolling elsewhere next year as opposed to Purdue, despite his commitment to the Boilermakers. Auburn and Florida State have both offered, while Troy and Southern Miss provide alternate landing spots should Towns not be a take with the Tigers and/or Seminoles.

Towns has expressed an interest in staying closer to home and where there’s smoke, there’s fire. I have a hard time believing ArMari Towns is among Purdue’s signees in December. Where he eventually winds up is hard to say, however.

Katrell Webb: Collins Hill (Ga.) EDGE

Katrell Webb is Purdue’s biggest recruiting win in the Odom era thus far, while Jamarcus Whyce’s commitment is also up there. Florida State, who was the perceived runner-up in July, could still look to add Webb to its class despite his pledge to the Boilermakers.

This flip is not close to happening anytime soon, from what we understand, but the Seminoles are a team to monitor down the home stretch when it comes to Webb’s recruitment.

Dana Greenhow: Sandy Creek (Ga.) safety

Three-star defensive back Dana Greenhow took an official visit to West Virginia last month and is a legitimate flight risk. The Sandy Creek (Ga.) standout is expected to make a final decision in the near future, with the tides turning in favor of the Mountaineers here.

A departure of Greenhow from the class would leave Purdue with just two defensive backs in the 2026 haul, Emoni Smith and Raderrion Daniels. The latter of which has also had plenty of programs looking to lure him from his pledge to the Boilermakers, as well.

Time will tell whether Purdue hangs onto Greenhow, but it is looking like a flip is imminent.

Raderrion Daniels: Lake Cormorant (Miss.) cornerback

There hasn’t been as much smoke as some others on this list with Raderrion Daniels, but the Mississippi cornerback has other suitors lining up, should he decide to open up his options again. Among those schools are Memphis, Cincinnati, and Texas A&M, which have all shown heavy interest.

This commitment is safe for now, but Daniels is going to be pursued harder by other programs between now and December, making him a name to monitor.

Dream Rashad: Buford (Ga.) tight end

The second tight end commit on this list, Dream Rashad, just added an offer from North Carolina State on Monday. After changing positions from quarterback to tight end, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more teams enter the mix for the Buford (Ga.) native. The Wolfpack have caught the attention of Rashad, as has North Carolina, who hosted Rashad for an unofficial visit last weekend.

Interest is starting to heat up for Rashad, but the Purdue legacy remains in the Boilermakers’ class… for now.
