As we start the week, 10 items of interest as the Boilermakers (2-3 overall; 0-2 Big Ten) travel to Minnesota (3-2; 1-1) on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET, BTN):

• Purdue is 1-6 in TCF Bank Stadium, which opened in 2009. The Boilermakers lost their first six games in the on-campus venue before winning on their last visit in 2022.

• Purdue has won its last two games vs. Minnesota. The teams met each season from 2014-23 before not playing last year. The Gophers are coming off a 42-3 loss at No. 1 Ohio State.

• There is some Purdue flavor in Dinkytown. Ex-Boiler DC Kevin Kane is an analyst, while DL Mo Omonode, OL Jaden Ball and TE Drew Biber transferred to the Gophers last offseason.

• Purdue hasn’t won a Big Ten road game since Jeff Brohm led the Boilermakers past Indiana 30-16 in Bloomington in 2022, dropping nine in a row on Big Ten enemy turf since then.

• Purdue hasn’t beaten a Power Four school since downing Indiana 35-31 to finish 2023, 13 losses in a row to such foes.

P.J. Fleck is 5-2 vs. Purdue. Barry Odom never has faced Minnesota.

• Purdue is last in the Big Ten in total defense (397.6 ypg), 15th in pass defense (248.4 ypg), 15th in rush defense (149.20 ypg) and 16th in scoring defense (29.8 ypg). Opponents are completing 69 percent of their passes (17th in Big Ten) with four TDs and no interceptions. Opponents average a Big Ten-high 10.4 yards per attempt.

• Purdue is last in the Big Ten (131st in the nation) in turnover margin (-7) with one takeaway (fumble recovery) and eight turnovers. The Boilers are one of six teams in the nation without an interception.

Charles Correa is No. 2 in the Big Ten in tackles (10.0 pg). He’s a true sophomore who transferred from UNLV. Correa grew up in Hawaii before moving to Las Vegas as a junior in high school to play for Bishop Gorman High.

• Purdue is last in the Big Ten in red zone offense, scoring on 75 percent (15 of 20) of its trips. Its TD percentage ranks (50 percent, 10 of 20) last.
