First and 10: Purdue at Minnesota

As we start the week, 10 items of interest as the Boilermakers (2-3 overall; 0-2 Big Ten) travel to Minnesota (3-2; 1-1) on Saturday (7:30 p.m. ET, BTN):
• Purdue is 1-6 in TCF Bank Stadium, which opened in 2009. The Boilermakers lost their first six games in the on-campus venue before winning on their last visit in 2022.
• Purdue has won its last two games vs. Minnesota. The teams met each season from 2014-23 before not playing last year. The Gophers are coming off a 42-3 loss at No. 1 Ohio State.

• There is some Purdue flavor in Dinkytown. Ex-Boiler DC Kevin Kane is an analyst, while DL Mo Omonode, OL Jaden Ball and TE Drew Biber transferred to the Gophers last offseason.
• Purdue hasn’t won a Big Ten road game since Jeff Brohm led the Boilermakers past Indiana 30-16 in Bloomington in 2022, dropping nine in a row on Big Ten enemy turf since then.
• Purdue hasn’t beaten a Power Four school since downing Indiana 35-31 to finish 2023, 13 losses in a row to such foes.
